4 players get 5 shifts (20 min), 5 players get 4 shifts (16 min). There are 40 player-shifts (5 on the floor × 8 shifts) for 9 players, and a shift can't be split, so exactly equal minutes aren't possible. This is as even as the game allows.

How this works

Five players are on the floor every shift. The planner finds the lineups that split playing time as evenly as your rules allow (it minimizes the spread of shifts per player, and proves no more even plan exists). Required and out shifts, minimums and maximums are hard rules: if they can't all be met, it tells you which one breaks instead of bending it. Minimums round up and maximums round down to whole shifts, and the plan says when that happens.

  • 5 to 20 players, up to 16 shifts per game
  • Equal-length shifts; substitutions happen at shift changes
  • Player names are optional and stay in this tab: they print on the sheet but are never saved in your draft or with a team
  • No positions, foul trouble or overtime rules yet
